Starting With Why!

cat-preparationBy and large, there is a common notion that the CAT exam is only for the meritorious students, and an average aspirant can’t get through it. Being a non-IITian, non-NITian, and an engineering graduate from a tier-3 college with average academics, I had this apprehension that CAT was not meant for me. I felt competing with scholarly candidates from the top institutes was not possible. My fear grew stronger when I could not join any coaching institute because of my hectic schedule at the workplace.

Besides, in the initial days, I was struggling to find the RIGHT WAY to approach the CAT exam. Fortunately, with the right information about the CAT exam on various online platforms, and a little push in the form of able guidance from a few strangers, who later turned out to be my mentors, I realized that CAT is more about intent than it is about talent, and so, an average candidate could make it to an IIM.  From there, my journey was all about hard work with patience, persistence, and perseverance.

Eventually, I cracked CAT 2017 in my first attempt with a score of 97.85 percentile and joined IIM Trichy.

Post-MBA, When I started writing on Quora, many aspirants approached me to help them in their CAT preparation.
After a while, I realized that there are a lot many people like me who need that little push
